How it Works

Here's the run down... if you're new to quilting, this may feel overwhelming. Please don't hesitate to call and I would be happy to support you.

You'll need to prepare:

A Top

Remove any threads, repair any holes, and gently press seams. Check to make sure your top lays flat. Borders can be tricky, reach out if you need support.

Backing

Provide a pieced backing that is at least 6 inches longer and wider than the top. If your backing is pieced, please make sure seams are pressed.

Batting

Please provide batting that is at least 6 inches longer and wider than the top. I often have a 80/20 high quality batting on site for $12.99yd. Just ask!

When done, fold each item separately and place into a bag. Reusable bags are great, I'll be sure to return your bag. Next, add a note with your name, phone number, and any special requests (pattern design, thread color, etc) and slip it into the bag. If you're dropping it anywhere other than my home, please also attach a note on the exterior of the bag with my name, so the shop knows I'll be picking the quilt up. Then contact me via phone, email, or text.

Contact me, we will discuss:

Do you live out of town?

* my preferred contact is text. I can get to you much faster that way! ~(907-232-3149)

Don't worry, your top and backing can always be shipped. I will be happy to provide my mailing address upon scheduling. I ask all mail in customers to please provide me with tracking information so I know when to expect your quilt's delivery. Return shipping will be added to the total. A flat rate mailer will be used whenever possible.

Check out the options in the Edge to Edge Designs bar at the top of this page. Feel free to browse and select your favorite. If it feels too overwhelming, just ask and I can narrow it down to a few.

Typically, edge-to-edge quilting can be completed in two weeks. However, this can vary depending on the time of year. Please contact me to see my current schedule.

After your quilt has been beautifully stitched, I will remove all basting stitches. However, I leave all trimming up to you. If you'd like it trimmed, I am happy to do so.
